Bandon has much to offer!
Bandon, Oregon is located 25 miles south of Coos Bay and 25 miles north of Port Orford. Here you will find miles of uncrowded beaches to walk where you can see interesting rock formations and caves. The beach at Coquille Point in Bandon is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Bandon weather is changeable from hour to hour as clouds pass over. The summer wind from the north keeps the fog away and provides a constant supply of fresh air. The rains come in late October and last through April bringing flourishing gardens, green trees and pastures.
Activities include world class golf at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort; fishing on the Coquille River; crabbing on the docks at the port of Bandon; hiking trails in the surrounding area and kayaking on nearby rivers. In Old Town Bandon you will find interesting shops and restaurants. The Sprague Theatre provides a venue for plays and musical events. There is a senior center, new library and a large public park. For a small town, Bandon has much to offer!
Prospective residents will be glad to know that there is a new 21-bed full service hospital in Bandon. With three schools, the Bandon School District serves about 800 students. Whatever you can’t find in Bandon, you can find in nearby Coos Bay. Go to my links page for links to local web sites where you can obtain more information about Bandon.
